DITCHES WITH TRAILS FEASIBILITY REPORT

     was presented to the MRGCD Board of Directors on Monday,

     July 28th at 6:00pm. A copy of the report is available here and

     This report was written by North and South Valley

     citizen volunteers with technical input from affected agencies.

     The report outlines and addresses issues raised by the MRGCD

     Board about allowing recreational trails on ditches and

     recommends possible ways to resolve them. The desired outcome

     of the report is for the MRGCD to officially sanction recreational

     use of its ditches and drains (in concept, with specific ditches

     discussed in further planning with the community), remove

      “No Trespassing” signs and work in partnership with the

     community and local entities to improve the management

     and maintenance of ditches and drains for recreational users.
